Description

Increasing the Value of Rural Events and Cultural Activities workshop is part of a wider ‘East Surrey Rural Visitor Economy’ project which is looking at ways of increasing the value of the visitor economy in the area.

During the morning you will hear from Jeanette Simpson, Chief Operating Officer at Denbies Vineyard, who offer over 120 visitor experiences annually and host a series of outdoor activities, and Tony Hines, Chairman of Brockham Bonfire, one of the largest Guy Fawkes celebrations in the country and who regularly advises on event management and stewarding.

You will also find out more information about the ‘East Surrey Rural Visitor Economy’ project and how you can help shape its development to benefit your business or organisation. There will also be information on potential funding opportunities.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The East Surrey Visitor Economy project is being funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and delivered on the behalf of East Surrey Local Authorities by Tourism South East & Associates.

The project aims to promote the credentials of the area by improving the visibility and viability of East Surrey's rural destinations, experiences, services and products, and capitalise on the opportunities such visibility brings.
